A total of 13 lecturers and 7 students became delegates in the 7th Hiroshima Conference on Education and Science in Dentistry, at Hiroshima University, Japan. This two-year event this year took the theme of “Diversity in Oral Science Research” and held for 2 days on 29-30 March 2018 at KOUJIN Conference Hall on Kasumi Campus, Hiroshima University. Airlangga University itself was invited by Hiroshima University because of the cooperation that has been established by both parties. This 2 days event including special lecture, poster exhibition, and several workshops.
This event was joined by faculty of dentistry all over the world, and there are several universities from Indonesia including Brawijaya University, Padjajaran University, Indonesia University, Airlangga University itself.
Our campus has successfully got several awards, on Best Poster and Travel Award category. There are 3 students that got the “Travel Award” award, they are Regina Purnama Iskandar, Alexander Patera N, and Aggripine Putricia Asaeli. “Travel Award awardee is picked from the abstract that they submitted before the conference”, said Muhammad Dimas Aditya Ari, one of the post graduate student who join this conference. Dimas himself, and Aggripine Putricia Asaeli, both are post graduate students of Dental Medicine Airlangga University who got “Best Poster” award from their poster presentation. His poster theme, “Biomaterial in Bone Regeneration”, has successfully made him to get the award. In this category, 2 awardee are from Airlangga University while another one is from Hiroshima University itself.
