UNAIR NEWS – Commemorating the 90th Anniversary and Lustrum to XVIII, Airlangga University Faculty of Dental Medicine (UNAIR) held the MURI Record-breaking Dance Movement of the Toothbrush Technique by the Alumni. Dance was attended by 1,705 alumni, ranging from the oldest generation in 1962 to the youngest generation in 2012.
Participants dance Maumere Dance with some modifications to the brushing technique for 3 rounds / 9 minutes. This dance describes the order in which to brush teeth.
Like, how to hold the right toothbrush, ie in a vertical position, brush the surface of the front teeth, then brush the upper molars and back teeth with a circular motion from top to bottom 2-3 times.
As a Faculty Dean Dr. R. Darmawan Setijanto, drg, M.Kes said, the purpose of this event was to work with alumni in mind.
“With a vision of militancy, this event managed to gather alumni beyond the target which is estimated at only around 800 people. With FKG, we support UNAIR towards the world 500 ranking, “explained Darmawan.
Besides alumni, this event was also attended by Vice Chancellor II UNAIR, PDGI, MURI team, Director of Dental and Oral Hospital UNAIR, head of department and all levels, and all lecturers.
Representing the speech of the Chancellor who was unable to attend, Vice Chancellor II, Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE., M.Sc, M.Fin. congratulate Faculty of Dental Medicine for 90 years making a major contribution to UNAIR and the community.
“During this timeFaculty of Dental Medicine has proven its existence as one of the best dentistry faculties in Indonesia. Which is realized by hard work and smart work. Hopefully, the more victorious and successful, and to welcome UNAIR to become the top 500 world class university, “said Madyan.
The MURI Team submitted the award certificate and the MURI record notebook to the Chairperson of theFaculty of Dental Medicine UNAIR Commissariat Alumni Association and Faculty of Dental Medicine UNAIR Dean. This event was the highlight of the event as well as the closing of a series of Lustrum events to XVIII.
In addition, the event was enlivened by the announcement of Maumere Dance Competition and the lottery which was attended by all the alumni present. Through this activity also,Faculty of Dental Medicine wants to provide socialization related to brushing the right teeth that are packaged in the form of dance. (*)
