In order to support the vision of Airlangga University (UNAIR) towards a world-class campus, the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) UNAIR continues to improve academic quality through international collaboration. This time, FKG UNAIR teamed up with two renowned campus professors from abroad.The two professors are Prof. Jae Hyun Park, DMD, MSD, MS, PhD from Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, A.T Still University, and Prof. Yoon Ah-Kook from the Graduate School of Clinical Dental Science, the Catholic University of Korea. In the FKG UNAIR Visiting Room, the three of them held a strategic meeting on exploratory cooperation on Friday (8/23/2019).The meeting was also an opportunity for FKG UNAIR to introduce excellent faculties of the faculties to support collaboration programs. Dean of FKG UNAIR, Dr. R. Darmawan Setijanto, drg., M. Kes, said that this collaboration in the future could have a positive impact on all parties.”We will offer a number of programs, what collaboration do you want to do. During this time our faculty has collaborated with many international universities to improve student mobility, staff mobility, research, joint publications, and much more, “he explained.Darmawan then showed some of the results of a research project and one of FKG UNAIR products, Dentomaxx toothpaste. Not only that, Darmawan also introduced the adjunct professor program, which has long been run by FKG UNAIR.Adjunct professors are visiting activities conducted by lecturers or overseas professors to UNAIR within one to two weeks to conduct academic activities. While at UNAIR they have the opportunity to teach students, test their thesis and dissertation, or conduct joint research with UNAIR lecturers.”FKG UNAIR also opens opportunities for students from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and Catholic University of Korea who want to visit to exchange, in bound or out bond. All this time, FKG UNAIR often invites foreign students to participate in community empowerment programs, “Darmawan explained.Hearing the presentation, Prof. Jae Hyun Park considered that the program owned by FKG UNAIR was very good.
