Asia-Pacific Advanced Networks (APAN) is an Internet provider through the Research and Education Network (REN) throughout Asia Pacific. REN connects universities, universities, research centers and hospitals worldwide through high-speed internet. Twice a year, APAN organizes meetings where at each meeting there is the Medical Working Group. Beginning in August 2016, APAN meeting was held in Hongkong and one of the activities of Medical Working Group is Dental conference in Asia Pacific.
Aqsa Sjuhada, drg, MKes from Faculty of Dental MEdicine of Universitas Airlangga is Chief Engineer and Program Organizer in Dental Teleconference of Asia-Pacific. By choosing the theme “Bidirectional Relationship between Periodontal Disease and Endocrine Disturbance”, teleconference connects 10 institutions from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong in cyberspace.
