According to data from the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2015, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), which is 305 per 100,000 live births, is still relatively high despite a decline compared to 2012, which is 359 per 100,000 live births. This decline is arguably very slow and insignificant, so AKI still needs attention. The four main causes of AKI are bleeding, eclampsia, infection and complications from abortion or childbirth.

Perio (K), a consultant dental specialist who is also a Periodontian expert lecturer.
